Hamadou Frédéric Baldé Pham is a French-American visual artist, professional Director & Photographer. He splits his time between Paris and New York.
Born in Paris from a French-Vietnamese mother and a Nomadic Fulani father, his work is deeply rooted in his multicultural heritage. His origins led him to create the multimedia project "Hamadou Frédéric Baldé Pham", in which he observes the complex and often unconscious processes by which mixed identity is constructed.
The project includes an auto-videography and a photographic & auditory work entitled "Born In Translation". Through sensuality and movement, he proposes an in-depth analysis of humanity and interconnection. He explores diversity and transmission in every image he creates.
Alongside his personal artistic projects, he has directed films for the fashion and music industries, including music videos for Masidi & Fally Ipupa (Sony, 2023), Gilone (2021-2022) Mayra Andrade (Sony, 2019) La Mess (2019). He also shot the behind-the-scenes for Beyoncé and Jay Z's OTR II European tour. In addition, he has worked with fashion and beauty brands on their campaigns such as Gynette NY (2013-2020), Giu Giu (2017) and Death to Tennis x Ali Mahershala (2016)....
