from the series "Stills" in which the artist questions the object "slide", a technique quite obsolete today. The series is made from slides that were once used for art history audience. By an extreme and very precise enlargment, without changing the image or erasing the scratches or dust, Riemer reveals that the slide was shot from a book. It then appears at least four layers of tim: Hockney's painting, the book, the slide and Riemer's work. Moreover Riemer shot the slide on reverse to make a relation with the way one inserts a slide in a projector.
