diptych, representing 2 worlds, 2 characters. Girl and woman, manga and geisha, drawing and painting, past and present mingle, exchange through partitioned windows by a set of collages of calligraphy, a symbol of communication, between past and present. The first nourishes the second, it is our memory, our roots. In Japan, it is fascinating to see that tradition and modernity cohabit in a harmonious way, it is this side that interests me, that I develop and that I put in parallel in my paintings. This painting is a perfect representation of these contrasts that fascinate me.
