This wooden sculpture is painted with unfixed pigments which leaves on the hand of whoever touches it the trace of his «guilt». This sculpture is a dialogue between the two buttocks. The “callipyge” buttock, celestial for Plato, idealized aestheticism as initiated in the Greek statues. It is the asexual buttock, symbolizing the control of instincts; culture. In contrast, the “Hottentot” buttock, vulgar for Plato, is round and generous. Together, they become the ass, celebrated in the Venus statues of fertility, from Willendorf to Kardashian, which reminds us of its universal power.

Artiste plasticien hétéroclite, le mode d’expression privilégié d’Arno SEBBAN est la forme.  Au-delà de sa formation à l'ENSCI les Ateliers, il interroge les fonctions de l’objet. Dans ses travaux, tout concourt à bouleverser la perception. Un dessin, une maquette, un moulage, de l’acier, de la pierre, de la fumée sont autant de matières qui donnent ainsi vie à des sculptures à taille humaine.
