Birth of a hero

I began to embroider images from conflicts that appeared in the international press. This practice dating from the Middle Ages takes us back to the era of wall hangings where battles were witnessed in this way. This technique, unlike photography, requires time and patience. All this raises the question of the image, its power and its power, its interpretation in a society which is only made up of communication and images in abundance.

Elodie Serhane-Ferré, née d'une mère Française et d'un père Marocain, a étudié à l'Ecole Supérieure d'Art du Nord-pas de Calais et à l'University of the Creative Arts en Angleterre. Également musicienne, elle est diplômée du Conservatoire de musique de Lille.
