Nurtured by an itinerant childhood between the extremes of France, I was deeply influenced by the contrasts between the Luberon, Paris and Nord-Pas-de-Calais. My work explores the tension between the bright, warm colors of the south and the cool waters of the Opal Coast.
My paintings, often abstract, are inspired by great cubist artists such as André Lhote, André Derain and Édouard Pignon. I tackle themes of everyday life, portraits, landscapes and walking scenes, using saturated color mixes and plays of light.
