I'm a French-Swedish artist based in Paris. Inspired by a visit to the Sistine Chapel and in particular Michelangelo's frescoes, I have been painting since the age of 9. I returned home and painted the whole of my bedroom. Everything within that room became my canvas - wall, ceiling, my bed and beyond. Despite no formal training since, I have continued to learn and hone my art. For me art is something that comes from within. I usually create using oil paint, acrylic or charcoal. Recently, I have been using my graphic tablet and clip studio paint (pro software for artists, illustrators etc) to draw and paint everything from scratch. My move to digital format has coincided with a particular moment in my life, in which the future is tangible yet distant. This future will only become reality if I pursue it. Finally I am also an author with two published books and a video game creator. The paintings that you are seeing are part of my MARKED collection. A project centered on being marked as in tattooed in particular internally. It's about depicting everything that leaves a trace in our lives that you can never erase. My most recent collection is called YOU'RE RUINING MY LOOKS", a collaboration between myself and photographer Mark Gee. It explores the concept of beauty (eg. questioning whose beauty is ruined in the art?) and by extension, the ideas behind makeup and cosmetic surgery masking supposed flaws. In the future, I intend to return to depicting male figures, mainly focusing on fighters and what that means in terms of masculinity.
