Sur la toile, le couteau a sculpté un flamant rose, son corps se métamorphosant en une rose qui symbolise les cultures florales luxuriantes du Kenya, terres fertiles pour les roses de Saint-Valentin. Pourtant, derrière cette beauté se cache une ombre grandissante, une catastrophe écologique silencieuse.Le lac Naivasha, jadis miroir d'eaux claires et refuge pour une faune vibrante, s'assèche inexorablement. Les cultures de roses, gourmandes en eau, drainent le lac de sa vie. Les poissons, ne survivent plus, et les oiseaux autrefois si nombreux s'évanouissent dans l'oubli. Le flamant rose, emblème de ces rivages, voit son avenir s'effriter.
