Né à Mersin (Turquie) en 1976, Mehmet Ali Uysual vit et travaille entre Paris et Ankara. Il a étudié à l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts d’Ankara (département Sculpture) où il obtient son PhD en 2009. En 2008 il fait une année d’échange à l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Bourges. Il est aujourd’hui considéré comme l’une des figures majeures de l’art contemporain turc.
