Une peinture de 1993 inspirée par l’une des compositions de Jean-Louis Murat, le spleenissime "Montagne". Antithèse volontaire des plateaux d’Auvergne solitaires qu’affectionnait le musicien, elle utilisait la mégalopole de New York comme cadre de la solitude et l'incommunicabilité entre les êtres. Les flèches des gratte-ciels remplacent les pics de la Montagne, mais les gouffres qui séparent les êtres sont partout identiques, et demeurent pareillement insondables.
