Chantal Regnault, photographe française vivant entre Paris et New York depuis 1971, a travaillé sur le vaudou haïtien qu’elle documente depuis 25 ans. Exposée à l’international, aux Pays-Bas, en Allemagne et en France elle a capturé la scène voguing de New York (1989-92), publiée en 2011 par Soul Jazz Records. Collaborant avec la presse et le cinéma, elle a coréalisé le documentaire Deported, primé en 2013. Elle exposera en 2025 au Getty Museum de Los Angeles pour la nouvelle édition de Pacific Standard Time (catalogue).
