The artwork

Caravage a eu beaucoup de suiveurs dans toute l’europe après sa disparition. Sa violence, qui a marquée sa vie personnelle en a fait pourtant un artiste solitaire.Comme un hommage j’ai créé cette série d’images emportée par mon admiration pour Caravage. Je me suis inspirée de ses couleurs, rouge noir et ocre, de la matière de sa peinture et de ses compositions lyriques. Pour comprendre ses choix plastiques, j’ai repris certains thèmes avec des modèles vivants d’aujourd’hui. Comme pour suivre sa force, j’ai froissé certaines de ses images pour mieux me les approprier et les transformer.
