Ce tableau représente une ascension jusqu'au ciel. Celle d'un personnage féminin, gros de son passé, qui s'ouvre à la vie. Personnage fictionnel, terrestre et céleste. Naissance, adolescence et jeunesse. L'éveil à la vie et à l'amour. Comme une aube qui embrasse le ciel. Dans le Conte 'La Belle eu bois dormant", dont les versions sont multiples, anciennes et modernes, la Princesse endormie a une fille : Aurore (dans la version de C. Perrault). Dans son Ballet au titre éponyme à ce conte, Tchaïkovsky transfèrera ce prénom à la Princesse elle-même: AURORE. Comme une Aube.
