Issu des Beaux-arts de Paris, Nicolas Blin est un peintre français né en 1955 utilisant à la fois la figuration et l'abstraction, aucun courant connu ne pourrait vraiment le définir. Son œuvre se construit autour de différents récits interdépendants apportant une cohérence globale. La narration, le désir de mémoire confronté à la réalité, l'altérité, sont des éléments qui structurent son œuvre. Se définissant comme plasticien narrateur, il utilise une grammaire plastique évolutive, où la figuration reste allusive, comme un sens ajouté, et volontiers une écriture mixte entre story-board et BD.
