The artwork

Cell line development (CLD) is the engineering of a cell line, often mammalian, to produce a therapeutic biomolecule or biologic. It allows scientists to tailor cultures depending on the applications and desired properties of the targeted product. A process widely used in the industry to produce biological drug products. For this painting I layered a yellow to blue gradient, over a white background, I wanted a deep contrast but keeping the colors vivid and lots of white to keep soft on a white wall and plants nearby. A dissection tool I have from univeristy was used to create the cells.
