Cette peinture fait partie de la la série «BRASILIA Construção! » (2010 – 2011) inspirée par les volumes de Brasilia, la capitale du Brésil imaginée par l’architecte brésilien Oscar Niemeyer et l’urbaniste Lúcio Costa. Elle figure les squelettes de la cathédrale en construction et des bâtiments des Ministères. Cette série fédère un ensemble d’œuvres sur papier, marouflées sur toile et tendues sur châssis, ayant pour thème l’extraordinaire chantier de la ville de Brasilia. Chantier minéral et splendide, indice de l’exploit des constructeurs visionnaires d’une cité édifiée au milieu de nulle part, au cœur du « Cerrado » brésilien.
