I am a photographer with Dutch roots who has found his home in Germany. Photography has always been an integral part of my life and creative journey.

From the picturesque landscapes of the Netherlands to the diverse impressions that Germany offers me, I have developed a deep passion for capturing moments, emotions and stories. My work ranges from the timeless beauty of analogue photography to the fascinating possibilities of digital imagery.

My passion for photography began in 1978 when I developed my first film. This was the beginning of my photographic life. Shortly afterwards I bought my first 'real' camera and completed my photography apprenticeship in Germany. To escape unemployment, I started my own business as a photographer. Later, Agfa offered me a job in their application department. After three years I joined Fujifilm as a product specialist in the sales department for professional products. I then spent a year as a lecturer in practical photography and marketing. After my adventure driving every week to Berlin, I was occupied 23 successful years at Canon in B2B marketing for large format printers, where I built a brand for the product.

Now that I'm retired, I've gone back to my roots and taken up photography again. It's still great fun. Photography allows me to share my creative vision with others and make connections. There are many influences and inspirations in my work from the two countries that shape my identity: the Netherlands and Germany. The serenity of the Dutch landscape and the cultural diversity of Germany are reflected in my images. I love to combine these influences to create unique and appealing compositions. And start again as a rookie.
