Lucrecia Herrera Smith is an artist painter, born in Buenos Aires and living in Switzerland. She started expressing her sensibility very young trhough both music and paintings. She joined the music Conservatory Manuel de Falla in 1979 and the following year the painting classes of Marina Smith in Buenos Aires.
After living in Argentina, she moved to Brazil, California, France and is now a resident of the Canton of Neuchatel in Switzerland. This international experience gave her a diversity of influences that can be observed throughout her work. Her meeting in Marseille in 2010 with the painter Nira Nisenholtz-Chamla, also originary from Argentina, has been instrumental.
Her style is colorful, vibrant, and reflects the energy that can be found in the Argentine people, a fighting spirit mixed with the creativity necessary to overcome the numerous crisis lived in the country.
