RO is a contemporary artist and preservation-architect, who in his artistic work uses a form of experimental monument preservation as an independent art form.

Through his critical architecturally look, he tries to question conventional ideas about our cultural heritage and shows objects or conditions that are also considered ugly or void which are usually excluded from the preservation of monuments. The transformation of places, of spaces and objects, increasing decay to gradual disappearance are processes that he documents and at the same time offer him inspiration for his artistic work.

In his works he mixes the boundaries between photography and painting, between reality and abstraction, using and experimenting a special printing technique according to the principles of Phototransfer - Fresco - Sgraffito - Mixed Media. With this method, he interprets and transforms his own photo series, using digital prints of these photos to press and print them into wet plaster layers. The prints are images on 440gr thick handmade carton, coated with several plaster layers, based in gypsum.
