Zhao Dannie (b. 1992) is a young artist active in Beijing. Since 2008, she has developed her artistic practice for over a decade. After studying at the Department of Decorative Arts, Beijing University of Technology from 2010 to 2014, she devoted herself to full-time artistic creation, gradually forming her romantic and free creative style.

Working in oil painting and mixed media, her work is distinguished by vibrant colors and free-flowing brushstrokes, revealing a unique romantic quality. Through sophisticated layering of colors and variations in depth, she creates richly textured visual effects. She employs multiple layers of scraping and accumulation techniques, resulting in works that possess both strong visual impact and poetic tenderness.

Her representative series "Rhythm of Light and Shadow" conveys a unique perception of light and shadow through abstract formal language. The flowing colors and rich textural variations demonstrate an artistic temperament that is both unfettered and romantically profound, celebrating the energy of life.

Since establishing her studio in Beijing in 2016, she has focused on artistic creation and exploration. Her recent works have been exhibited through online virtual exhibitions. As a professional artist, she continues to delve deep into abstract art. Her creation consistently revolves around light, color, and texture, attempting to convey her insights through pure artistic language.
